Procter Gates-Railings-Metalwork is a new division formed by Procter Bros Ltd to cater for customers requiring high-quality bespoke or standard steel entrance gates, railings, fencing products, architectural metalwork, access platforms and steel stairs. For over 60 years Procter has offered these products, but now customers benefit from having a single point of contact.
Following a reorganisation of Procter Bros Ltd, Procter Gates-Railings-Metalwork now operates alongside Procter Concrete and Fencing Products within the Procter Supplies division. Procter Gates-Railings-Metalwork specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke steelwork including gates, railings, fencing products, architectural metalwork, access platforms and steel stairs – plus it holds stocks of standard products such as bollards and popular designs of railings.
Procter Gates-Railings-Metalwork can work from architects’ designs or concept sketches, with the company’s designers able to undertake site surveys and use CAD to create designs that are compliant with relevant British Standards and Building Regulations. Once approved by the customer, the designs are manufactured in Procter’s in-house production facilities that include CNC laser cutting, punching and folding. Most products are galvanised, and a tough powder-coated finish is often applied on top, either in a standard colour or one specified by the customer. Stainless steel is another option, with a passivated finish (mainly for interior projects) or electropolishing for the ultimate in corrosion resistance, even in marine environments. Procter delivers with its own vehicles, either directly to site ready for installation or, if preferred, to the customer’s premises so that site delivery is with the customer’s branded vehicles. Procter can also undertake installation of products such as fencing, gates and railings using teams of installers employed by Procter Bros (not contractors).
